Welcome, I’m Liam

I have been serving in the mental health world since 2010 and as a licensed clinician since 2014. Over the course of my career, I have served folks struggling with severe mental health issues and acute life stressors including chronic addiction, incarceration, and homelessness. My love for clinical work, however, has always been grounded in psychotherapy, focusing on existential issues and finding greater meaning in life.

Approach

In our work, I will aim to truly understand your struggle and help you find the real you. I try to cultivate a therapeutic space that offers a path to deeper meaning and purpose. I believe that truly healing therapy is driven by the client and self-driven action is often required for positive change, but I will also aim to keep you motivated and accountable. I often integrate expertise in psychodynamic theory and behavioral treatments (ACT and DBT) into my work. Lastly, as needed, I may utilize appropriate humor in our sessions--a light laugh can offer needed reprieve from the intensity of deep emotional work.

The non-clinical me

In my free time, I love to exercise and be in nature—this includes running, skiing, kayaking, gardening, hiking, camping, and fishing. In my chill time, I like to read, write, and do crossword puzzles—all of these activities are typically done with my beloved Basset Hound by my side.
